We are about to build a marketing guide 'for advisors by advisors' aimed at small to medium sized brokerages and IFA to help with online marketing. As you know, we have created our online sourcing and best buys products and are in the process of creating some simple mortgage calculators which will be available free to any of our clients. These tools provide a reason to communicate with clients – new best buys, a place to begin a mortgage search (with you, not a price comparison site), and when combined with other resources can build up a first-point-of-call for all your clients when embarking on a new financial purchase.

So we have had statements from the Chancellor that the FSA is to be scrapped (sort of) and responsibilities for Macro and Micro economic policy be transferred to the Bank of England under a new Financial Policy Committee and Consumer Protection and Markets Authority. While this is a great opportunity to right some of the wrongs that the regulator has made over recent years - wrongs which have come from structural flaws as well as policy decisions - this change nevertheless will create another burden on advisory firms.
